I think your idea is smokin! Lite it up and see what happens. This maybe just what I have looking for as Im flying in the desert and the rocks and cactus is a beotch.

The amount of load something can take by slowly building up the weight is usually quite a bit different then the amount it will take when loaded dynamically very quickly.

Tha additional cf is is only kinda sorta marginally effective and may only serve to transfer stress to a point in the structure that wasn't designed to handle such loads. In reality I understand that the upgades may not have a high ROI but lets face it I do them mostly to please the inner deamons, I mean my internal dialog. :D :D :D

That's the general end result of strengthening one area of a structure if you don't strengthen the supporting structure to go with it. My work is high speed destructive testing of large sheet steel structures. Under highspeed film it's always amazing to see the amount things will bend and twist before actually breaking and the shockwaves and other weird phenomonon (spelling???) that occur.
