What are you doing to that CD, loading it with a forklift?

If you're that rough on a CD--first you scratch it, then chip it, then crack it, then break it--I can just imagine how hard you'd be on an R/C aircraft.

I also have a hard time buying the story that KE Software wouldn't offer you a replacement if you sent them yours as proof of purchase. Maybe you should PM Jim Bourke directly to see if he can help you, since he works for them.

What really puzzles me is why did you buy the upgrade if your original CD was trashed?

Doesn't sound right . . did they not offer to replace your damaged disk if you sent it to them?
To late for that Aeropal I trashed it after I misused it so. But even so as RF was going throught it's growing pains they never seemed to have a real care. I do have the other disk I named.........Airboy

So you can't get it to run because you don't have the disk. And GP/KE won't replace the disk because you don't have a disk to replace. Any other proof of purchase ? Did you at least register it ? If not I can't say I blame them.

Your best bet is to try EBay or a want ad for the original RF. They turn up from time to time and they don't go for anything like 300 bucks.

Whatever that means.

I presume you think I was accusing you of something. Frankly, it had crossed my mind initially, since there are lots of people why try to pirate these programs, who come up with all sorts of convoluted stories to explain why they don't have an original CD.

If that isn't the case with you, my apologies. It just sounded a bit too much like one of those stories to me on first read. Additionally, I guess I have a hard time understanding how people manage to crack/chip/scratch up their costly software disks so easily.

I would encourage you to check with Jim Bourke (RCGroups administrator), like I mentioned.
