Gig, I just bought a yellow/white Mariner....any building or flying tips??? Many of my RC friends tried to discourage me from this plane, they all fly on "trainer-type" birds with simple floats attached. But I just love the looks of the Mariner compared to the "others". Thanks in advance for your advice.

You might find it better in the flying newsgroup, or try the following
websites:
www.rcgroups.com ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=174 )
www.rcuniverse.com ( http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_176/tt.htm )
The bracketed links are their seaplane forums. This is primarily a boat
oreinted
newsgroup. But someone could reply if they happen to catch it.
Good luck, and fair winds,
Travis

The mariner flies great but on both of mine that I had the water ends up
getting into the tail feathers and the covering tries to come off. It's easy
to take off and a breeze to land. Seal the edges of the covering with some
clear polyurethane of something before you fly it the first time.
