Ok, all my system specs meet and excede minimum requirements just so you know that first. I have the latest version(i checked)...when i try to host...it says: failed to initiate multiplayer session. Then, when i try to join a game, it says either:Failed to send player information packet. Or, if it doesn't say taht, when i click connect...the game freezes. This is REEAAALLLLY getting on my nerves... plz help!

Do you have more than one PC in the house and are you using a router to provide the gateway to the internet, and this is more than likely blocking the ports required to host or join a hosted game.
The same goes for a single PC. If running Zone alarm, or Norton internet security, you will need to configure those applications to allow what ever ports G3 needs to be open to allow data to pass.
I don't have G3 so I can't provide you with the ports it needs opening, and their knowledge base isn't helpfull either, so it might be worth browsing or posting the question over on the realfligh forum ( http://www.gpsoftware.com/discussionboard.htm )

Had the same problem. It was due to my firewall setup etc. Some routers have firewalls in them.
