Hiya all, I have the Dragonfly 22E with the 6 ch controller and i want to make up my own sim cable to connect the transmitter to the PC.

On the back of the Transmitter it has a S-Video 4 pin plug so i want to find a diagram for the wiring of this.I want to build my own

I suspect to use a S-video on one ebd and DB9 on the other,.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi and welcome

The issues with these sort of transmitters has been covered before on this forum. Do a search of this forum for Walkera and you will have a better understanding of the some of the issues that are involved.

These days most interfaces use a PIC micro to convert the signals from the transmitter and send them to the computer, especially if you want to use anything other than FMS, so it may not be as simple as fitting a mini DIN plug on one end of a bit of screened cable, and a 9 pin DB connector on the other !

Boris (bluesky123) is regarded as the Expert on this make of transmitters, if you want any direct assistance drop him a PM or e-mail

i have made 3 different cables for my walkera 22e transmitter the first was a parrelel port cable it did not work, i assume becouse i did not use the correct electronic parts when building it, the second was a serial interface it failed to work too, the third used the mic jack, it worked with a program called smart propo plus installed and ppjoy, but it did not work perfectly the channels were really jumpy, even after callibration, I have the wiring schematicas, for all three of these plugs, i will update this thread with pics as soon as possible
