I got to try the G2 simulator at my LHS. It was a blast. What is the difference between G2 and G3 ? Or is there a better one. Do you need a monster computer to run these?TIA

IMHO, there are the top tier sims like G3, Reflex XTR and AeroFly Pro. Then there's the second tier with things like G2, Clearview etc. And then the FMS, Preflight gang dragging the tail. There's quite a difference G2 to G3. You should really try the XTR demo (although it is hobbled so you watch only - no TX control) and if possible Aerofly then decide. It comes down to price (free to 200 bucks), flight physics/realism and then a host of other things like adding your own models, changing colors on planes, vendor support, etc. Vote with your wallet.

My wallet can handle it , but can my brain .I'm 55 and can barley use a cell phone. LOL So alot of extra functions dont interest me.The G2 I flew seemed to have tunnel vision. I didnt know where the ground was.Is the G3 or XTR better ?I dont think I will be able to find anywhere to try any others as I live in the mountains of Colorado. Thanks again Rich

In no particular order...

As for G2, there are options to change the point of view (where you are standing in relation to the plane)
