Got a virus on my computer 2 weeks ago. It took a bit to remove it and get everything back working again. I removed and eventually re-installed RealFlight G2...no problem.

I tried to re-install Add On disk #1 (which had been previously installed and worked fine - I loved the Corsair) and got and "installation error". Tried several times, same problems. Reboot, try to reinstall, same thing.

I clicked on the "more information" icon and the gist of the information was there's some problem with the installation software that might have something to do with "licensing issues".

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions?

If you have more than one CD-ROM drive, you need to make sure that you place the CD in the original drive. If the drive mapping has changed and you no longer have the drive letter that you used to install the software from in the original installation then this might be the cause.

Another thing to watch for is a complete uninstall. The Knife Edge board has specific instructions. There are lots of little snippets left by RealFlight that can interfere with reinstalls, even legal ones.

When i first installed G3 and I installed the add-on packs, I got an error when the add-ons whanted to install DirectX. Everything worked okay, but the error made me think it wouldn't.
