Sooooo.... Hey fellow rc er's. How good is the Clear View sim? I have the demo and didnt really get to try it before the time ran out for the demo  . So i was wondering
Planes : realism, physics
Helis : Like the real thing?
Is it worth $39 aussie cash?

Thanks guys

It is 20% of the cost of G3/Reflex, but I think you get more than 20% of the functionality, proportionately speaking. I guess it all depends on your budget and desire for the fizziks/realism.

I like helies more than planes in ClearView. Helies feel pretty real, the small electric one is as squirrelly as my real Blade CP.
:)
I own G2 and AeroFly Pro Deluxe, and helicopters in ClearView are no worse, if not better, than those in G2/AFPD.

We have 15 days money back guarantee. No questions asked. All you have to do is to de-activate the sim, send the deactivation code and ask for full refund.

will any cable work wth this sim?

have a look at the web site http://www.rcflightsim.com/cvweb1/main.jsp?page=controllers.html

Supported controllers:

* Any Windows game pad
* USB cable for connecting RC Transmitter to PC
* PIC Serial cable for connecting RC Transmitter to PC

Windows game pad controllers are good solution when you are getting into RC flying. ClearView works very well with all game pads. For best results, calibrate your game pad before using the simulator.

If you have a RC radio transmitter that comes with "Simulator Cable", you can use it to control the models in ClearView.

If you have RC radio transmitter, but don't have a cable, you can choose between two options:

Option 1: USB RC Tx to PC cable. This is the preffered solution for computers without serial port.
Option 2: PIC Serial cable. GWS makes cable 3 models for GWS, Futaba and JR transmitters. For about $10 retail this is the best solution if your computer has serial port.

Hmmm... almost parallel thought. twins? LOL

Sorta on topic... just picked up a couple of NIB Logitech Gamepad controllers for 7 USD each! Gonna yank the spring from the left nubbin and I will have all the controllers I need.
