Hello there,
I was wondering what model of gyro or any other module I could buy for very cheap, in order to unsolder gyro and accelerometer chips (for use on a personal project).
Thanks!!

I purchased ADXL210 accelerometer chips off of ebay 2 for $8
see aplication note: http://www.analog.com/UploadedFiles/Application_Notes/49905351395455AN-596_a.pdf
and got 3 Gyros off of Gyro point mouses to build a 6 DOF INS.
See the project "low cost INS" for theory

Hello there,
Thank you for your post!
What is the model of inertia mouse you used? Do you recommend it?
Thanks!

I am not sure of the model of the mouse. I found several in pieces in a junk box at a flea-market. I bought them because I recognized the gyro and knew that they would come in handy for a project like this.

Here is a cheap solution for some gyros if you are a student...or know a student..
REF:
http://www.dprg.org/projects/2003-01a/
"Gyration sells a micro gyro for $450. There is also a special academic version of the kit for $35. It has three gyros and supporting chips included in the kit..."
