Hello,
I have Realflight G3 and can not find any planes that match the planes that I fly. They don't seem to have the same realistic characteristics. Or they are real size or they are gas planes.
I have the following planes. they are all electrics:
Slowstick
Ultrafly Extra 330S
Ultrafly Outrage
diddlebug
Cox micro corsair

Is there a differant simulator that more realistically simulates flying this size of electric planes?
The G3 sim also does not seem to be able to have the tip stalls that I have had in a Zagi wing and the HL chicken. It also does not seem to be able to have the variable winds with down drafts and things.

thanks,
tim

Reflex xtr rocks, I got to try it at toledo, it is very realistic, all I could find that I didn't like is that when doing a low rolling circle the roll rate seems to increase as you get further away from yourself. schaubro, sent you a PM.

Sammy:

Did you try AFPD at the same show? I wonder which one you would like best?

1st: AFPD
2nd: XTR
3rd: G3
This is for 3D, I liked afpd the most.

Thanks! If I told you that my priorities were:

1. Best physics for aircraft including indoor/ outdoor 3D where inertia and accurate response lag were critical.

2. Glider support for slope (accurate wind modeling) and tow (accurate thermal modeling).

3. Convincing photo-realism--which I think is key for distance/altitude judgement.

4. Model variety in 3D, gliders, scale

Would you change your selection?

No, I can't comment on slope and gliding stuff becasue I didn't have time to try that out but there is photo realistic scenery downloads for afpd, there is also no no fly zone and the model variety for afpd is awsome, you can even download a vpp addon, I would love to get afpd if I could right now.

I don't think AFPD has support for slope, at least that I can find (I have it), but XTR does have support for slope and it looks pretty cool. My copy is on the way (I'm keeping both).

AFPD has awesome slope support even a free photorealistic flying field and sail plane released for Xmas.
