Did you fly it? If you are looking for a no wind day, dream on. Otherwise find a lighted parking lot that's empty. Your best bet to fly is Tuesday after dark. 6-7pm the winds will be 3mph. It will be pretty warm, 35-40 F. The only other no-wind opportunity is Tuesday morning, 5-7 am, but the temps will be freezing. Let us know how it goes.

It's been gale force here in Owens Cross Roads all day long! Thought I better wait! ;) I'll post a report when I get to try it.

I went to Rick's Saturday. I didn't know it was his grand opening till I drove up. Packed house! I should have bought the Sparky arf he had out front for 60 bucks. Almost did. Wish I had now. :( Also had a Tangent for 40 bucks. I looked at it more than once to! Still left empty handed.

GG,

If you like the look of the Sparky check this out:

I just got mine but have to wait 'til Christmas to see how she flies (wife's orders) :D For $99 you get the plane, motor, ESC, 2 props, extra parts and covering material, and battery. Add $20 and get 2 servos installed. I snagged mine for $109 before they found their mistake. List was previously $139. I have no idea how it will fly but the construction looks fine. I found one guy on RC Universe who has one and likes it a lot:

Have you taken the Lazy Days out and inspected it? How does it look? Quality? Did you get good service from the vendor?

I didn't take all the parts out of their baggies but it looks pretty good. Will probably need to reshrink the covering on the elevator but others looked tight. I haven't inspected any further than that. It is obviously laser cut. Service was fine. I ordered on-line on Monday and got it on Friday. A guy on RC Groups said he was happy with WinnerRC. They sent him some replacement parts and covering for another plane for free.

A review of the Lazy Days in FlyRC was favorable but aren't they all. Review said it handled wind well which is what the guy on RC Universe said as well. Don't know anymore than that.

Jim, what is the powerplant on the foamy? If it's a 300/350 that it looks like and your AUW is over 14oz or so, you might get the same "not so great" results I did with my 3DX. Most of my flights with that thing with the 300 were very stressful as it was hard to keep it in the air. After I mounted my Park 370 brushless in the gearbox, it was on!!!! Now I was getting those hovers I wanted. (too bad I coudn't 3D worth beans back then) :D

None the less... GOOD LUCK with your maiden!!!

It is a 350. I have a 2015-4100 I could put on it. I need another brushless esc. I hate taking stuff off one to put on another :( , unless it's been retired by terra-firma! ;)

I know what you mean about grounding one plane to get another in the air. It would probably take an additional $500 to get all my planes flyable at the same time. I usually have 3 or so ready to go. The others lay at rest on the shelves or hang from the ceiling waiting and wishing. :D
