I need help making a temp warning system that will turn on a bright led and or buzzer for a 2 stroke eng
Depending on how it is hooked up I need to basically alert when the head temp reaches 375 f
I have a cht on there now but it does not have a output for a warning light/buzzer
needs to run off of 12v
I know there are some smart arse guy's here that why I ask here !

I thinks, its already available in the commercial Market, its a temperature sensor that can measure temperature and compare it to your SETPOINT Temperature.....when a SETPOINT is Reach, its will active a servo to its predetermine setting.
You might use the Servo to active another switch.
Most RC Car Racing Store, do carry it.

can wires connect the two? Or do you need a radio /IR link?
Either way its very doable, but exactly how depends on money, skills accuracy, environment it's to go in etc etc etc.
For example you could start with USB over radio chip pair, use that for the comms, put a PIC at each end - to turn an iput signal into digits, and at the other end to turn it back to something toi drive a light...

If you accept some wiring why not a simple "Klixon" normally off? http://www.ti.com/snc/products/controls/ptherm-7bt2.htm .

God I got to start explaining better,
Ok this is what I want to do,
I have a heavy modified 2 stroke scooter,- like 70 mph plus 107 cc stroker eng -fast, real fast
I want a light to blink or light up when the head temp starts to exceed 375-400f,I have a temp gauge but I am not always able to watch it,so I want a warning light to come on before I seize.
eng is air cooled.
thanks for all the input guy's sorry if I wasted your time.
