I am looking for a scale kit for a Mooney, something that is in the .60 to .90 size range ( not giant scale ).

Does anyone know of such a kit and where it could be found ? If plans were available somewhere, that could be a possibility, but I would prefer to work from a kit. Checking on the internet I have only located one company in England that may manufacture a kit but I have not heard back from them as of yet. I live in the U.S.

I would also like to build an Aerospeciale Tampico, but the odds are probably even slimmer to find a kit for that !

Thanks for any suggestions.

I think Ohio RC (now out of business) used to kit an Ovation. What model are you looking for? Are you a Mooney driver?

Thanks Shawn and Ben for the feedback. No, I don't fly, but I have a nephew that just completed flight training at St. Louis University. He did his aircraft training in a Tampico, a Mooney and a Piper Seminole. I thought it would be cool to build a display model of one of those for him. So far, the pickings are pretty slim for kits of any of these aircraft ! But thanks for the info.

Steve,

There's a guy selling a Jack Stafford Mooney Ovation kit on RCUniverse in the Giant Scale For Sale section.

Be warned though, that this is a "builders" kit, not an easy-to-build laser cut kit.
