Guys, can you Please help me find this very old 16 Segment Alpha-Numeric LED Modules Part no. NSM 1416 its made in Philippines by National Semiconductor in 1985.
a friend just give it to me 20 years ago, and able to Reverse Engineer it, 20 years ago Internet is not so popular yet.
Its like Playing a MASTERMIND GAME, when trying to decipher this undocumented LED modules.....I just use a 5 Volts power supply and 330 Ohms resistor , BreadBoard and wire.
First to determind which is the Ground and VCC..use a two wire supply connected series thru a 330 Ohms resistor, then randomly poke at those 20 pin terminal, and hoping one of the LED would Light up, able to detected the Ground terminal, now the problem finding the Vcc Positive Terminal, cause everytime I probe at those others 13 pins, The LED also lights up......its really a Trial and Error.....have to temporary make a guess, then connecting the of the pin to Ground, and hope the Character will change, as you Randomly change the connection...just like playing a MasterMind Games....Spend almost Half Day working on this, here is the result.

20 Years ago, I can not decipher the Pin 9, it was just Last Night have accidentally Lights up all those 16 Segment.
Have try all those Search Engine, Still can not find the DataSheet, I guess its really too OLD.
Hope somebody has a DataSheets of this 20 Year OLD LED Modules.
