I have a mother board sitting over here that will go up to 1.2 ghz, it is a Soyo 7VEM mother board (barely used) included on the motherboad is a stick of 128 meg of ram, and a 650 mhz processor. It has 2 USB ports, built in VGA, built in sound, 2 PCI slots, one AMR slot, it also has a serial port. I also think I have an ethernet card if you would like to buy it. The mobo runs really great, I used it for about 4 months until I was able to upgrade. It will support 256 meg of ram (only 128 in it now) and I was using a 40 gig hard drive with it, let me know.

If your willing to fix it I have a toshiba lap top I will sell off for $450 (was $2000 new)
Ive done everythign to keep it working, I thought it was heat problems, its not, although it does run very hot so maybe indirectly its heat, when the thing is warm, and then you wiggle it, the screen gets virtical lines and or artifacts... you then need to hybernate and wake it up to clear the screen once in a while.

Some say its just a lose wire, but I cant find the lose wire.
its Toshiba 5105-S501

doubt you will want to replace one peice of crap with another.. but on the off chance you know how to fix it... its not software or configuration problems, its hardware, and toshiba support sucks, no more toshibas for me.

I also have a gateway Athlon 850 (almost 1ghz) that will run equivelent to a 1ghz machine kinda... but this one powers itself off randomly, suspected bad power supply... I think its got 256-512 ram in it I dont remember... I am currently using its video card in my PC tho (32mb) I need to buy a new vid card so bad... LOL.

Brm How much are you asking for the parts and do you have any pics.

Draconius, sorry but I dont have $450 to spend. You problem im 99% sure is heat. When things get to hot it causes the rendering pipelines in the graphics chip to lose and corrupt data. I friend of mine had a very similar problem with her dell. She fixed it by dropping it on the floor.
