I am presently building my second PEA POD 36/600 and looking forward to sailing weather. I also fly R/C and use what we call a "Flight Box" that contains spare parts, fuel and supports the plane. Does anyone use a similar device for hauling spare parts and supporting the sailboat at the pond. When I built my first sailboat in 1974, I used a modified folding camping stool. It was a little low then, but now, at 73 it is a little too low for me. If you have any suggestions, a picture or maybe plans would help. Thanks and clear sailing!!

Bill,
If you can find that old folding stool, put some longer legs on it. Not the most original idea but if it works, who cares?

My problem's going to be transporting the boat on public transport. I'm in the process of making a plywood case, which is beginning to look ominously like a coffin. Hopefully it can either be carried by hand, or attached to a shopping carrier. It'll also mean making the mast 2-piece.

Martin,

Paint the case black and paint a Saphir (logo) on it.

With the right (coffin)handles to add to the confusion you should even get help to get it on and off a bus..., dress for the occasion.

OMG, I think that was surely the funniest suggestion I've ever heard... ROFLMAO Now you've gotta try it...
