If the paint is water based I heard letting it sit in water for a week
will do most of the work. I find if I make a mistake painting, rubbing
alcohol and cotton balls clean the area off well. I have removed paint
from a fresh body, but never an old one so not sure how it will work on
an old body.

It can make a light "milky" film sometimes from what I have seen...
Make sure to rinse alot with water....
It make take several soaking applications as well for the paint to lift...
I'm sure there is probably something on the market however that would be
easier...I recall seeing some kind of lexan paint stripper form tower
hobbies awhile back...don't remember the name.
