Hi All. I'm interested in biulding a 777, for a pair of turbo fan development engines myself and my father are working on. The engines are well into development, and have been run as turbo prop units, to test the shaft through the middle arrangment. The engines are based on the MW54, and the plan is to develope a Turbo fan, and a helicopter turbo shaft drives to attach to the front. As it is the 777 project is well in the future, but gathering cross sectional info, or knowing were to! would be useful. I have been on the Boeing web site, and the info offered seems very limited were only basic dimensions are offered.

If any of you would like more info on the engines I'm sure a few pics can be added.

John Craig at Iron Bay models has molded and built a big 777 I believe. He may be willing to make you a kit if you are willing to make a sizeable donation to the cause - probably 8K$ or so.

Thanks for the replys

I am very interested with your friends 777 project, and would love to find out more. If would be apprieciated if you could give me a contact for him so I could have a chat to see what is what.

The Fan for the latest engine is almost ready, and an unshrouded run of the engine may be happening in the near future, that is when we can decided how many sand bags should go between us and the engine:)) lol. The general dimension which is govening the size of the 777 is the fan diameter, which is 180mm, so what wing span that would equate to is unknown at the moment.

I will try to borrow my friends digital camara soon so I can add a few picks

Thanks all:)
