Steve,
The coil is OK, it is straight. I have heard that some of the glowplugs do
not glow along the whole length of the coil is the Enya No. 3 on of these or
is my one on the way out? I have no problem binning a dud plug before it
fails, however I would like to know what I am looking at!

Hi Harry,
I can't remember looking at a brand new Enya #3 that didn't glo strongly all
the way to the end of the plug. I've run Enya's that weren't gloing all the
way to the end before but they didn't last much longer. The symptoms that
the engine displayed made it seem like it was running lean or running rich
which would have me fiddling with the carb needles. When it finally gave
out and I was forced to replace the plug, I had to reset the carb all over
again. :-( I've "finally" learned that if the engines been running sweet
for the last month and all of the sudden seems unhappy, and there's been no
major weather change to account for that, then I need to look at the glo
plug "before" I start making more than one or two click changes to the
mixture.
Fly Safe,

A dud plug would be exactly the one you are asking about now....Bin it, as
the other posters here have said, it's cheaper to replace than your
Heli...!!!!

Re binning gloplugs
I've had a heli with a Norvel Vmax7 engine for almost 2 years and have still
not had one flight as the engine will not run for a full tank. I get fuel
leaking through the plug, and it just cuts out. Any idea where I can get
a plug for this engine in AUSTRALIA.
Thanks in advance.
Mike.
