I've got (among other things) an old 0.30 sized glow helicopter that
I've never flown with an old mechanical gyro.
Is there any reason why a new micro piezo gyro wouldn't work just as
well? I just picked up one cheap
(http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/444509.asp) and while I'm not
really planning on putting it in the larger helicopter, I can't think
of any reason why it wouldn't work just fine.
(I'll try and fly the glow helicopter eventually, once I'm more
familiar with my small electric helicopter (which has it's own mini
piezo gyro.) Is there even any signifigant benefit to replacing the
old mechanical gyro? It weighs more, uses more current, but anything
else?)
