I need to find an affordable USA supplier of micro sized cable, both 5 and 7 conductor. It needs to be in a nice jacket with an OD under 0.125" (3.2mm). The individual conductors need to be stranded and at least 32 gauge. No shield or drain wire is wanted.

The cable construction used on a PC mouse is similar to what I am looking for. I would like to avoid buying mice just for the cable. Even so, the mouse cable I have seen is a tad too big for my app.

I can get it custom, but it is too expensive and I only need a few dozen feet overall. This sort of stuff has appeared in surplus catalogs, but I am coming up empty in my searches. I can accept lengths as short as 16".

Any one of you out there use this on a product you mfg? Can you spare a few feet? I'll take your remnants. :)

Seems to be plenty of mouse/keyboard extension cables out there, perhaps you will find one the right size. http://www.pccables.com/00722.htm

Thanks for the advice. Mouse/kyb ext cables would be ideal since they are cheap and would solve the 5-cond cord I need. But, all the ones I reviewed are 0.15" OD and larger, which is too fat for the application. There are probably some ext cables out there that are smaller, but I have not run into any yet. The 7-cond cord is even more of a challenge.
