My avenger arrived in the mail yesterday. The kit is very simple and easy to put together, although making everything fit through that slit in the top was kind of tricky at times. But I got it all put together in about an hour. I took it out to our pond and put it in, it seems to have good speed, this is my first real boat so I have nothing to compare it to. It definantly has incredible agility, it can literally turn on a dime. You turn it all the way to the right or left and it will pretty much do a 90 degree turn in spot. I was very impressed with that aspect.

My only real complaint is that the top of it doesn't seal. It lets water in, not alot but more than it should. The water got to my esc and made it stopped working. But luckily the esc dried out and works just fine again. I am currently trying to figure a way to seal it better. I've put a thin layer is silicone glue around the edge, but still have yet to test it.

Hiya,

I am glad you like the boat :) I ordered a PT boat from them. You will want to use clear tape around the hatch cover. that is what almost everyone uses these days. Also, make sure your stuffing tube is sealed with grease. Not a lot but enough to keep water out too.

Lastly, post some pics!

Clear tape? what exactly is that? I was thinking about trying some neopreme, would clear tape still be better?

and what type of grease? will vaseline work? I don't have many greases around the house is there any specific type?

Clear tape. You know scotch tape? You will want the clear kind not the frosty looking kind. There is hull sealing tape available but you will most likel you have to order it.

As for the seal yea vaseline will work just don't use a lot of it. Just enough to seal the ends (both) of the stuffing tube. The procedure is to stuff a small amount into each end of the tube, then lightly smear a small amount all around the shaft where it will ride in the tube. This should make a nice seal.

Enjoy your boat. Send picturs :)

Cheers,
