Hard to say what`s the best engine. But the TT39 is a smooth and reliable
engine.

I agree! For the money, it's very hard to beat. OS 32 is also a good one
but some have said it's underpowered by comparison. The OS 37 is a new
engine for them and probably a good pick but I've not seen one yet.

I've helped "many" up and coming Raptor pilots and all of their machines had
the Thunder Tiger 39. Never had any problems with any of them. I like the
engine and it's what I'd put in the Raptor if I were going to buy and build
one.

Fly Safe,
Steve R.

Don't know about the TT engine.

I have two Rapters both with OS32s in them. The engines have operated
flawlessly.

Here's my experience on .30 size....

My Raptor .30 V1 came with a TT.36. It was junk, very hard to keep
running properly. I upgraded to a TT.39.

The .39 was finicky to set up, but flew pretty good after much fiddling.
Then it just died one day, the rod broke, and it took out the piston
with it. There was plenty of smoke at the time and it was running great.
Not sure what went wrong. After a successful auto, I sent it back to Ace
with the sales receipt.

....In the mean time, I purchased an OS.37. This thing is great. It has
much more power than the .39 and is a breeze to set up and keep running.
Ace returned to me the .39, all rebuilt, good as new. I haven't opened
the package-- the OS.37 is here to stay!

For a newbie to these things, I'd say go for the OS 37. Any OS will give you
confidence in both learning how to use the engine and its ability to keep on
running. They may not be THE most powerful motor on th planet, but the 37
shoves out more than enough for a Raptor and they're EASY to set up and use.

And there's no need to SHOUT. Even deaf people can read words that aren't
typed in uppercase.

The OS or Alternatively try the Irvine 39 ,My son has one and it appears to
be very reliable with all the power you'll need
