Just thought I would say hello to you guys as i'm new to the forum :)
I'm Nick, and I live in the south-east of the UK.
My 3rd sub (Thor Alfa) is nearing completion.
My first was a Sheerline Trafalgar, and i'm currently running a Sheerline type VII.
regards,

Welcome!
I had a Sheerline Akula, now sold. Have an unstarted Sheerline Ohio, but thats going to go too, as one big sub is enough! The Alfa comes out at a manageable size. What dive system are using on the Alfa? Also can I ask where you sail your TypeVII? I am on the look out for suitable locations for my Typhoon.
Cheers

Hi :)
My Alfa is using the Merriman 3.5 WTC, I got it with the kit.
I sail at Elstead Moat in Surrey primarily. Plenty of room - but not great for deep submerging - unless your feeling brave ;)

That doesn't look too bad actually, and my parents live in Surrey. Whats this on the council site about requring permits for model boats and not handing out any more :censored: Is this just for IC craft and are they strict about this rule?

Welcome,
It's interesting to see a sudden rise in UK submariners,

Welcome Nick. Pictures. Threads from you are required to be part of this forum or I'll cut off you PG tips. LOL!
Hey. I know I'm the bleeding yank here but I'm married to one of your own. So at least I have good taste even though sometimes I taste bad. Right then Michael?
Welcome aboard Nick!

wheelerdealer, they dont allow I.C at all (wildlife) there is also a size limit for models.
Having said that, no-one has checked my permit or boat size!
himszy, I followed a link from SC Forums, been lurking there for years :)

Nice :) The water looks resonable calm, so I might try out my Trumpter Kilo RC conversion there (I have odered a WTC from Dave Welch thanks to your write up and video Steve - Sorry I didn't mention you sent me!), as my Typhoon is still some way off. Looks like that water will be full of Ruskies soon!
