Hello all Chinese members of rcgroups,
I am visiting Guangzhou and Hong Kong next week, and I thought, that it would be nice to visit some RC stores while there.
Can you recommend me any? I am mostly interested in electrical flight, but have an open mind for everything...
Thanks!

Let me translate this for you...

Sorry we were just discussing where the shops are. No specific shops were mentioned yet. I'll translate as soon as something is posted.

The "Kwong Wah Street" in Hong Kong has a full street of rc. I'm not sure how many are air based though :p

2 places we go in Hong Kong is Radar, HK distributer of World Models, pretty big shop. Check their site for location, the MTR Ngau TAu Kok exit, when you get off the train turn around, look down and slighly to your right and you'll see the shop.
Another place called Waigo, the MTR Yau Ma Tei exit, across the street from the YWCA.
A couple of places in Guanzhou, but I can't tell you how to get there, but they're right next to a school and across the street from either a Bank of America branch or an HSBC brance. Not to many of either there.
Hope it all helps. A couple here in Dongguan where I live, one sells moslty Helis and World Model stuff, other has a variety but I've never purchased there.
Have fun here in the Middle Kingdom

Iīve been browsing the www for long time looking for supplier/manufacturer of this budget but high quality products coming from Asia.
When a type "R/C" on bussines searcher like www.made-in-china.com, www.toybase.com.tw, http://chinasuppliers.alibaba.com, I got a huge list of links, many of them written in very nice chineese but unreadable for me or they are only wholesaler stores.
Although I havenīt get what I looked for I saw very interesting things in this sites like chinnese 1985 record CL speed breaker nowdays is engine designer, or that Thunder Tiger is not the only one chineese microturbines supplier ...
HiModel is quite well but I donīt meet any one of their payment options by now. Can you mention me any other on line model main RC supplier?
My interests are glow powered airplane, 2 and 4 strokes. Iīm loking for the ASP 4 stokes engines.
Thank you

Most items with a half decent brand behind it wont be able to be purchased direct from china unless you pay local tax 17% or buy it OEM (MOQ 1,000pc).
I can help you out with ASP or Magnum engines (same factory and product, different casting plug for branding)
send me an email at: anthony.hand@aisaexs.com

Hi Anthony, thanks for the info. Mong Kok seems to have just about everything and anything these days.
JoeVen, I've used www.gr-exp.com for a couple of orders, shipped a few sets to U.S. and to my place in China.. straight up folks, but not particularly well priced in some items. ASP engines I can get cheaper from my LHS here in Dongguan..
Some of the planes were from the Shenzhou-Nanlong group I believe, www.nanlong.com haven't been successful in contacting them direct through their alibaba site. What I have recieved varies from just ok to pretty good quality, again probably reflecting the cost basis of the original customer. Prices on planes are good, but transportation cost will kill you unless you're buying a half container full or more.
Hope this all helps.

In the meantime after posted my message google got me a lot of sites in chinese!!! what I didnīt understand at all but visual lenguage of pics wonderfull worked for me :)
My experience? not much but I have something to share... www.tymodel.com shows gasoline and SC 4-stroke engines I was looking for, a very kind salesman answered all my questions in perfectly readable english...
The best prices in engines Iīve seen has Radar http://www.rich8.com/8/shop/wd.php?wdid=radar...
Very nice the jets planes offered in www.radiocontrol-2005.com, even more interesting are the turbines WOW made in China...
Iīm waiting Chinese New Year Holidays ends to shopping engines small accessory relative affordable in shipping.
Yes JetAgeHobo, it is a shame a lot of good quality, nice look and great price airplanes have the lack of high freight costs, but Iīm working it
Happy buying and better flys
