Hey, I picked up a Hangar 9 T-34 Mentor today that I was interested in making my first electric conversion and my third non parkflyer type airplane. I would like a 'drop in' for the most part job, so if anyone could help me pick a motor mount, battery, and motor for this bird, I'd be very appreciative! Thanks alot.

Give the specifications of the T34 model including wingspan, recommended IC engine size range, and projected weight with IC power for best results in getting recommendations.

HI

I have converted an ESM version of the Mentor, similar weight and wing sections.

I went the smaller scale flying way of powering it to see how low you can go in powering it.

Axi 2826/10 on 11 x 7 4S7200mAH. Pulls 40 amps peak but cruise is 20-25 amps. I take off using 3/4 throttle, full throttle only for faster flight and pulling up into a loop etc.

7200mAH was only used as old 8C Lipos I had spare and you need all the weight up front you can get to get the CofG right.

Brenton

One of the guys here flys his with a 2826 and it flies well, if you want to get more speed and vertical then you can get the 4120.
