You must be kidding John!

I am sure you know about spot welding - don't know
where you are from, but I suspect one has to be in
Arcturus not to know that today's cars are "stucked"
together with thousands of spot welds.

Plastics are also "stucked" together with a similar
process. Take a close look at your plastic things
around the house.

And much of design work today is to eliminate
processes - read cost - and this means eliminating
non-robotic operations. Partly which, in turn, means
reducing the use and thus the cost of adhesives.

I suggest, that if you do indeed have a next time to
stick your car together, get it spot welded. Or if you
really insist, OK CyA glue may do the job.

In sweetness and light!

I had a '73 Capri (German) which had much of the bodywork glued & crimped,
very little welding. The BMW's of similar vintage were the same, don't know
if any present cars still use the process.
