Airtronics QUANTUM 8 PCM - Experience ?

I recently acquired an Airtronics Quantum 8 PCM heli radio that looks like it has had very little use. I haven't flown helis before ... therefore don't know if the Quantum will be a good radio or not. Any experiences / suggestions about this radio ??
