LVSpark made a really cool version of a GPS video overlay recently. He posted this in the aieral fotography forum but I think this is something we could all use. I currently use the intuitive circuits gps video overlay board, but as you can see in the pictures below the intuitive board displays GPS position numbers which is basically useless as a visual aid. The heading, speed, and altitude are great, but gps coordinates as numbers dont do me any good to see while flying. LV spark has replaced the coordinates with a Left or Right guidance and distance to a waypoint. This is a huge benefit for navigation of a UAV and much more useful than coordinates in a real time display. The left and right is good, or even a bearing and distance to waypoint would also work. Lvspark said this could be done with a BS2P chip, but I have not found a design or programming it anywhere. I would like a board with this capability, but have been unable to find one. Has anyone done anything like this ?

Attached are links to lvsparks videos of his board in action and a screen shot of lvsparks board compared to an intuitive circuits board.
