Hi guys,

I need to pick a power plant for a conversion. The Airplane is the "Beat On" sized for a YS 53. The goal is to practice the new F3A FAI schedules with this over the winter without having to drag out the 2M toys.

What would be the comparable outrunner for a fully aerobatic plane with the following specs? I have some TP 5S3P 6000s I'd like to use, if they'd be appropriate. I think I'll need to stay at 11" max diameter if that would affect your recommendations. I'm thinking around 800 watts? I start to get lost when I have to get from here to selecting the right motor, so any tips on how to approach that would be appreciated too.

Specifications Length (mm in.): 1406 (55.4)
Wing span (mm in.): 1332 (52.4)
Wing area (dm2 sq.in.): 34.2 (530)
Weight (g oz): 2400~2500 (85~88)
Engine 4C 52~53 Propeller (4C): 10x8~11x8

Thanks!

If you can squeeze a 12" prop you can get 800 watts on 5s3p with an axi 4120/14
I would use a 12x10.
