Hitec Radios

I am looking at a Hitec 3 channel radio. I like the idea of the 3rd channel on a rotary knob for accessory operation. Does anyone have any experiece with Hitec? Is there a reason that I don't see more of them in use??

Hitec makes nice stuff. You will be happy with it. I am buying only Hitec nowadays.
