Hi All,
I'm converting a glow powered AT-6 and would welcome suggestions/opinions on the right motor.

Specs-
55' WS
3.56 sq.ft. wing area
80-85 oz. AUW
Wingloading 22-24 oz/sq.ft.
Builder unknown
Kit unknown

I'd like to use a 12'' prop and a 3 cell lipo pack. The AXI 282608 or the 282610 are my leading candidates so far.
Anyone tried these motors in this type plane or similar plane with different motor?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

I had an AXI 2826/10 on my 6 1/2 lb Global Spitfire. But, I think instead of 3s li-po you should try a 5s.

If you really want to use a 3S pack then the 2826/8 would be better.

Have you had success using the /8 and 3 cells on a plane like the AT-6? I'm trying to stay with 3 cells since I already have a PQ 4400.

All my big birds fly on 5S+ but the new Axi has a higher kv so you don't need to many cells in series. You could get by with a 3S2P but I would suggest a 3S3P to get some decent flight times.
