I have just bought a copy of reflex xtr - which runs fairly well on my laptop, but after six crashes or so it takes ages to start up again. Am i doing something wrong or is there a problem.

Plus what is the best model to learn to fly (helicopter).

And how still should a hover be?

Thanks

DiV

What video card? There had been a similar discussion here or at RCU or RR and in that case it was a faulty video card driver or in another similar case a VERY OLD video chip which had not been DirectX 8.1 hardware compatible.

Select the Kyosho Caliber 30 in the starter configuration or the TT Raptor 50V2 but NOT the tuning version.

Use the hover trainer. if you can stick the heli over the staring point with a variation of 2-3 ft in all viewing directions, you will be pretty safe on the real field.

I am guessing too that it is the video card in laptop - will try on my desktop with a new video card.

Thanks for the other advice, I am using the Kyosho Caliber 30 and I am sort of hovering.

Thanks again.

Reflex is a little more twitchy than reality. If you manage 2-3 feet on the sim you will be more than happy to learn that real world flying is easier.
