I am waiting to buy a Revolution 3D EPP Foam Plane when it is in stock, and in the meantime, I am looking a flight simulators. Currently I am flying a Slow Stick (my second plane after Aerobird Challenger).

I have a Hitech Optic 6 transmitter, and a computer with Win XP, 3.4 GB CPU and AOpen FX5200 8x AGP w/ 128 MB.

The simulators that I have been looking at are: FMS (free, except have to buy $25 USB adaptor cord), Reflex XTR, Realflight G3 and Areofly Pro Deluxe.

Should I go with FMS first, or if I go with one that costs money, which one should I get?

Thanks

Use the search function - this question crops up time and time again. At the end of the day, each simulator has a loyal following so some will say XTR, others AFPD or G3. The best option would be to "test drive" each sim at your local model shop (assuring them you are actually going to buy one at the end of the trial) and see which one appeals to you.

FMS is good for stick orienations, but lacks the physics of the other three (although some have messed with the settings and manages to come up with a few planes that give true performance)
