TopFlight kits

Hey guys im prety new to eflight but the main reason im learning is to build and fly giant scale electric that has alwase been my goal. I have been pondering my first big plane and just got a new jeti45/3 and am looking for a kit to put it in, how are the big topflight kits(60's and the giant scale) for e conversion, i was thinking about a GP60 cub? but really like the TF warbirds, 60 size P40 or corsair. any suggestions for a first giant scale project that would run well on the jeti, also where can i get a brushless controller that is compatible with that motor and can handle 24+ cells, theirs are all limiting in their cell count. I really love to build, and think i have the nack so to say, all my previous experiance is in smaller electrics and gliders but i have never had any problem getting good looking planes out of the box-o-stix they send you. so i think its time to move in the direction that got me into this hobby in the first place! BIG ELECTRIC PLANES!! any help will only add another big electric flyer to your seemingly small group thankx in advance Chris!

Hey Chris,

I'm interested in doing a big e-project as well. I'd like to do a 1/4 scale monoplane, but haven't settled on a particular "subject" yet. I agree that it would be nice to see more activity on this board! As for an ESC for your Jeti, I saw some Hackers that may work for you (up to 30 cells, anyway) at:
http://www.aircraft-world.com. They ain't cheap, though. Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up on the ESC, luckily im devoted enough to getting a realy big plane in the air that i have already begun to set aside cash and buy batteries and the other "little bits" that tend to make these kind of projects really expensive. still no idea what its gonna be though?? I think im gonna start out with a big J-3 cub, seems to me that it would be a good place to start, and i can easly find one to mach the motor i already have. best of luck Hinkel
