Please,
can anybody post short description of FMA/Kokam SkyVolt pack connector?
I wonder if there is anything special in SkyVolt packs, electronic components or somewhat that I could have problem to make reduction cable to my existing taps?.
Maybe that they are just classic DB9 female conectors with direct cell volatages?

I think about possibility of buing new charger, and Skyvolt 6s looks great, just only if I can use it with any packs I have, using some cable reduction.
Of course, It is missing the display, but I can solve this DIY or by emeter (HiBox), and it has PC connection monitoring 6 channels which is much better to see..
Thank You!

Coro, FYI, I am also looking for pin-outs (from Greg Covey at FMA Direct) to modify existing packs for use with Skyvolt charger. I've held off buying anything since April. I can't believe how much new LiPo charger info and equipment and DIY stuff has become available in last few months. It's getting more difficult to make a decision on what to use.

Looking into the end of the connector shows the numbers. The numbers are the nodes. The minus (-) sign is ground or black wire and the plus (+) sign is the highest node of the pack. On a 4-cell pack, you can measure cell voltages between the following pins below and pins 4 and 5 are open.

* - to 1
* 1 to 2
* 2 to 3
* 3 to +

In another week, the new FMA Direct Web site will emerge with much lower pricing on the Skyvolt line and many other products. Essentially, the DIRECT is back at FMA!

Currently, you can buy a 12" Skyvolt extension cable and cut one connector off to make your own adapter cable. In a few weeks, we will have a new Cellpro to Skyvolt adapter module that will have the Cellpro node connector, Dean's Ultra, and JST connector already on the module along with "test" pads to solder your own node connector of choice. Always use a 1C charge rate unless they are Skyvolt packs.

Thank You.
That are great news and I think the SkyVolt 6s is now on my wish list :)
