If this is not allowed, just move it, but does anyone have personal experience with one of the department of defense sub-contractor UAV programs?

I've spoked with company reps, but am interested in another side of the
situtation.

Thanks, and take care_bob

Thanks.

I do have an app in for Wave 3.
I was just hoping to talk with someone that has actually gone through the program in the States, and possibly abroad.

I am currently working on a project. I am overseeing a UAV Project for a series of applications within the Army. I worked 3 years for Defense Intel Agency, then 3 1/2 years with Naval Space and Warfare (SPAWAR). Then in Sept. 01, I moved over to the Army. Cool things are happening within the department with UAV's. It seems most contractors (Boeing, GD and such) are pricing themselves out of projects. We are starting to turn in house meet the requirement of UAV's. The current project I'm on has to do with Security and also AEL's (Airborne Exposure Limits) with a Chemical Depot. I personally built and tested the "Airframe". I am not directly working on the autopilot system yet, but I'm the project manager...so soon, I will be looking into what the guys are coming up with.

I've been interested in the Gumstix solution, but we have resources to buy off-the-shelf software. However, I would like to develop something totally tailored to the mission. Keeps cost down and helps with keeping the project in-house.
