Soaring over Malibu Beach

여름, 서늘한 Malibu 근처, Pacific Palisades 해안 에서,

Cliff rising from Pacific Coast Highway overlooking the Pacific at Pacific Palisades near Malibu.
Nice place to enjoy cool sea breeze, nice scenary and of course slope soaring in summer time. Small park is located on top of the cliff.

Here is direction to the cliff.
Follow Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica toward Malibu. After 10 - 15 Min. drive, you will come to a traffic signal for entrance to Will Rogers State Beach.
Turn right from the signal into Temescal Canyon road which meets with Sunset Blvd.
Turn right on Sunset and enter into town center of Pacific Palisades. From intersection with two gas station, turn toward the sea and you will end up with this small park on top of the cliff.

It is a nice quiet place hidden from the public. It is also suited for picnic. Take your family with. If you prefer, you can spend a half day on the beach too.
You can enjoy cool sea breeze, beautiful scenary of the Pacific and slope soaring in summer time. Something we Californians can enjoy for free.

기억이 납니다. 벌서 6년 전 이군요. 제가 아직 이빨이 다 빠지기 전 이라서, 지금 보다 젊어 보입니다. 아들님이 들고 있는 비행기 날리지를 않어서 아직 남아 있읍니다. 다음에 만나면 아들 햔테 드리지요. 꼭 Santa Monica (Pacific Palisade)에서 다시 만납시다.

여름이 다시 찾아 왔습니다. 더운 사막에 소제하는 Parker Mt에서 DS할 때는 지냈고,
서늘한 바다 가에서, thermal를 즐기는 season이 되었습니다.

어제 Pacific Palisades를 금년 들어 처음으로 찾아 갔는데, 안개가 끼어서, 날리다가 thermal glider가 안개 속에 들어 가서 안 보이게 되어, 당황했습니다. 급강화시켜 착륙하다가 너무 밑에 착륙, 낭떠러지를 내려 가서 줏노라고 힘이 들었습니다.

7월 30일에 LA에 들리겠습니다. 그때 날릴 뱅기들 - jkflight 에서 구입한 Zenith (60" slope racer) 와 Spitfire - 열심히 만들고 있습니다.
