Do I need to keep the Tx module in when using a Serial PIC interface? When I do Pull it it seem to work just fine. Is there any posibillity of damaging the Futaba 9C super Tx with the Tx module out?

TIA,

If the encoder of your TX turns on automatically when you insert the cable (i.e., if you don't have to turn the TX on with its power switch), then the RF citcuit is disabled. Leaving RF block in the TX or removing it doesn't cahnge anything.

You do not need the RF module in and removing it will cause no problems (provided you're careful not to bend the pins while you're taking it in and out).

As Boris says *IF* your lead is wired up so that the Tx switches on automatically, i.e. you don't need the power switch on, then removing the module won't do much. In my experience many interface leads aren't wired up that way in which case removing the module will give you much better battery life and avoid possible damage to the module which can be caused by running it for long periods with the antenna retracted.
