I am working on an older Midwest Harbor Tug kit. The hull is sheet balsa over basswood frames. I will be applying fiberglass over the balsa. Normally, I coat all of the wood inside the hull with thinned epoxy. There is some areas inside this hull that I won't be able to get at after the hull is sheeted so I will coat them prior to sheeting. Now, after all that, my question! I would like to seal the side of the balsa sheet that will be on the inside of the hull at these inaccesable locations. Has anyone had any luck gluing an epoxy sealed balsa with CA? Recommendations?
Thanks!

Sand it with 100 grit where you intend to glue it, the CA should hold. Since you will be applying a final coat of Epoxy on the outside, long term holding should not be a concern, you only need to hold it together until the external Epoxy is applied. Although I think it will hold fine., I have glued Epoxied parts before without a problem.
