I'm looking at purchasing a large 1/10th scale C-130 kit but I'd like to power it via electric motors vs the recommended glow engines. What motors, speed controller(s), and battery(s) could I use to match a .75 glow engine. Specs are as follows:

133" wingspan
100" length
calls for 4 2-stroke .60-1.08 engines
target weight is 23 lbs.
wing loading is 29.18 oz. per sq. ft.
wing area is 1745 sq. inches

Thanks...

Wow, nice big bird. If you're thinking of using Axi's then I would suggest the 4120/14 4130/16. Nimh's would be fine or you'd be looking at top dollar for lipo's for this setup.

Where can you buy this kit? This looks like a great project.

I know Palmer has 3 different sizes, on smaller one specifically made for electric. Zirolli also has plans for one, maybe the one AlabamaRaptor has. I'll see if I can find the links.
Only thing is with the custom kits is that plans alone are about $60, wood kit $300+ (for this size) and more for the vac formed parts and.

Hmm. Don't know what happened to the other posts. Is this it?
