Hi guys, I need a little help.
I'm building a couple of Micro-Pitts from Chris O-Reilly's wonderful plans. This is a FULL-ON DIY project as I will be building everything including the RX and ESC myself. Micro actuators looks simple enough, but what must their resistance (typically) be? Also, I've seen some people using two magnets per actuator and others using only one. Why? Which is best? Mine will not be remotely placed, so I suppose one magnet is fine.
Here in South Africa, finding magnets are near impossible as no-one sells loose magnets of this small size. I have found a possible solution: A shop called Beads 'n Things sells magnetic clasps for bracelets that contains these small magnets! I've bough a couple and will see if I can free their magnets for my evil purposes!
Who would have thought that you can shop for your RC hobby aircraft at a DIY jewellery store?!
