I just got my monster gt from a hobby shop this weekend. It is the new
4.6cc version. I am looking at it right now on top of my big old 70's
TV. It is clean and unscratched and huge as hell compared to my
rc10gt. It is a hell of a lot bigger than a tmaxx. I hope to have a
chance to break it in this week and give it a good run around. Ill
follow up in a few days. Anybody have comments on this truck? Its my
first monster.

I broke the engine in and ran it a few tanks through it. It was a
blast. I did something stupid tho. I ran it up and down a ditch and
it popped a wheelie and went over backwards. I didnt have the body on
at the time and it scratched the head. It sucks that I scratched the
new blue anodized head. Is there any way to fix it without buying a
new head? I dont think that it will happed with the body on.

Oh! and is there a ford f250 or f350 body that will fit on it well?
Thanks.

Any of the Atomik F250/350 bodies should fit as well as the HPI F250/350
bodies. In fact, pretty much any 1/8 scale body should fit pretty well with
a lil' trimming here and there.

No way to "fix" the scratch without buying a new head but don't worry, it'll
get way more mangled than it is right now as time progresses. I remember my
first scratch on my first nitro head..............I was so upset. Now, my
heads are all scratched up and I could care less. If you have a blue
sharpie marker laying around, you can color-in the scrateched area and it'll
look pretty decent.

If you run some zip ties thru the top fins you can prevent most smaller
scratches, although huge wipeouts will pop the ties off and still damage the
head. Find the vertical notches in the head and run the zip ties
horizontally thru them, going between the top two horizontal fins of the
head. This works well on most motors but I had some issues with the Mach 26
head as it's odd shape at the top makes zip-tieing more difficult.

Actually, 1/8th scale Sav bodies look crap on the MGT - they're just too
small - speaking from personal experience :-) I'd recommend getting one of
the bigger bodies, made for the LST/MGT by Proline and the like.

Try a blue highlighter or a blue sharpie marker
