I see that the Winch Doctor is not now making his great winches. I need to find a pair (winch and retreiver) that can be used for competition. Does any one know of a source(s), without having to break out the welder, and machine tools and trying to build something of my own design????

I'm using the Little BIG Winch and haven't encountered a sailplane it wouldn't launch. I built my own trailer and manual retriever as part of a one-man turnkey operation. Here is where I got mine: http://www.irfmachineworks.com/lbwinch/lbworderinfo.html
If you want photos of my trailer and retriever, just let me know. I can also share with you what I did to make it possible to wind the line back onto the drum of the Little BIG Winch at the end of the flying day, if you want the information.
