I recently purchased a used Rahm retriever and used it successfully this summer. There is a little play in the front bushing and needs replacing. Have any of you found a bearing set that could be use in place of the brass bushing? If yes, do you remember the manufacturer and part number?
Thanks,
Tommy

IIRC, the Rahm retriever uses a Ford longshaft motor with direct drive to the drum. If that's the case, why not just replace the end cap, or put a new bushing in that one? I've got a couple of end caps and bushings from when I was making ball bearing conversions for longshaft motors. Post a photo of the end cap ( or as close as you can get if it's not disasembled), and I'll see if what I have is what you need.
If you want, I can probably machine your end cap to take a ball bearing. I say probably because there are some recently made replacement end caps for longshaft motors that are not like the original Ford parts, and they don't have enough material to support the ball bearing.
Email me if that's more convenient.
