Hurricane Flight Systems products are now available in the United States. The line consists of Brushless Motors, Speed controls, Servos, and high output Lithiums. All products are reasonably priced. Here are a few words about the outrunner motors.
Our new Hurricane© motors provide the latest state-of-the art efficiency in electric flight systems. Their performance and durability is unequaled. We use only the finest materials and strict manufacturing standards and we don't confuse you with strange model numbers. Our system tells you the physical diameter, length, and number of armature/stator winds. Some like to use the size of the armature or stator as their reference. Unfortunately, this doesn't tell you if the motor will fit in your airplane or not. We like to keep it simple! We're modelers too!
We have chosen outrunner motor sizes which will provide you with a good range of choices without all the confusion! We believe there is already a wide range of choices in the marketplace for the inrunner style motors and have elected to carry only three sizes for the big boys!
Our outrunner motors come in the Force 2, Force 3, Force 4 and Force 5 series. We have a monster motor in development for later release that we will simply call "Mandatory Evacuation". We don't use Force 1. That is reserved for small CD-Rom motors which will not be part of the Hurricane© line.
The model number of our motors breaks down as follows. For example, the 28/22/27 motor is 28mm in
diameter, 22mm long (front to back), and has 27 winds on the stator.
