Beaulac,
Poids : 440 g
2 servos HS55
1 récepteur NPM 05
1 accu Lipo 2S1P Kokam 1500 mA
1 variateur Protech 20XS BEC
Beaulac,
Jean-Louis Naudin received these days , Slowhawk2.
he will make soon a report as interesting as the one that he made for its Parkhawk 1 and its Slowhawk1.

Beaulac,
My decisions that lead to the changes in the 2nd generation birds were due to spinoff knowledge I gained from the newer Shrike and Yard Hawk designs plus the shift to lipos, and also the desire to keep the battery cost lower.
Thus I designed the SH2 and PH2 for 2 cell lipoly.
The 2nd generation versions of the PH and SH have a sleeker, stronger fuselage with standard ball bearing wing hinges. I used to have numerous reports of the head or neck fuselage area breaking on the early versions.
The PH1 and SH1 had delrin bushings. The fuselages are also smaller in general and utilize smaller and lighter main gears and lighter aluminum hardware in some areas plus a convenient velcro battery mount is provided.
The first versions used rubber bands. The second generations also have an extra bearing support for the main gear pinion which greatly reduces wear and tear on both the pinion and main gear.
Now the latest of the 2nd gen versions have safety standoffs above the wing ferrules which prevent catastrophic wing fold-up in the case of losing a con-rod screw in flight.
The PH1 and SH1 were designed to fly on NIMH cells ( 8 X 720 mah- 9.6 volts).
When lipos became popular, I decided to switch over to them but was left with the 2 cell vs. 3 cell option of lipos. Three cells cost more so I strived to make the birds fly on 2 cells. This required a higher Kv motor which is what the F-380 is. However there are claims that some PH1 and SH1 kits will fly on 2 cells as well.
I slightly reduced the PH1 wing span initially, and then later decreased the SH1 span as well. With the SH1, it was mainly to offer better handling in the wind.
So considering the above, there are more than simply performance variables when doing a side by side comparison of the first and second generations.
There were quality, durability, and aesthetic improvements to the 2nd generation birds.
One could do several side by side tests and arrive at different conclusions:
1) PH1 vs PH2 both with stock motor and battery
2) PH1 vs PH2 both with stock motor but both also with 9.6v NIMH
The 2nd generation models have the F-380 motors which cannot handle a 3 cell 11v lipo without damage, however, it is very possible the F-380 motor CAN handle a 9.6 volt NIMH pack. So, a PH2 on 9.6 volts will likely out perform the PH1 on the same battery pack. The F-380 motor is good but more delicate windings than the stock 300 type motor. As such, it can't tolerate 3 cell lipos. Incidentally, I have a new ball bearing motor arriving this week for evaluation that may take the place of the F-380 in these kits. I won't know until I actually test the new motors though.
I am personally pleased with the 2nd generation birds but if and for whatever reason someone should still want a SH1 or PH1, they can always special order one from HobbyTechnik.

I suprise how you spent my money to do flapping research and sent me nothing.
I have waited for more than 13.5 months.

We haven't cheated you Chen. We are systematically trying to satisfy everyone who is backordered.
I can personally guarantee at least a partial shipment will ship to you within two days, with the balance shipping as soon as physically possible afterwards. This will include the Slow Hawk 2's, but we are trying our best to get more park Hawks and Shrike bodies to fill the back orders since all of our back orders have mixed kits. I will e-mail you a photo of the Global Priority Mail reciept when I ship the first shipment ( whithin two days).
My apologies,
Sean
