This new thread was started to foster free discussions among members or non-members of Korean RC Groups and Xeviousclub, two RC clubs with their own websites.

Any ones who feel that their criticisms against club/website administrators are curtailed under the threat of deletion/expulsion can air their opinions here freely in Korean language or in English.

절차도 밟지 않고, 운영자의 자의로 삭제 제명 할수 있는 일이 아님니다.

누차 말 하지만, 운영진이 회원과 같이 사이트에서 놀면, 싸움이 벌어 젔을 떼, 운영진이 중립을 지킬수가 없어서, 중제자 로서의 기능을 상실하게 돕니다. 사이트는 난투장이 되며, 마비 되 버리지요. 그것을 증명하기 위해서 제가 뜨거운 감자를 던저 봤읍니다.

Xevious 는 해결을 못 하고, 전원퇴출 이라는 우거를 저지렀읍니다. KRG도 비슷하게 양쪽 모두 퇴출을 시켰으니, 다를 바 없읍니다.

양 club 에 대한 나의 제안은, 운영진은 이 곳 rcgroups.com 같이, 표면에 나오지 말라는 말 입니다.
친목 이니 중제는 운영자의 역활이 아닙니다.

한국 사람의 국민성의 큰 결점은, 감투 쓰기 좋아 하고, 당파 싸움 잘 한다는 것입니다.
여기도 무슨 므슨 친목단체가 많은데, (한인회, 지역벌 한인회, 도민회, 노인회, 등등) 단체의 목적은 망각하고, 매일 감투 싸움과 당파 싸움으로 나날을 보내고들 있읍니다. 명심 하십시오.

Understood.

Previously I thought this site was not programmed for foreign languages but recently I discovered Korean language is included in its program.

Consequently I thought Korean is usuable. It was considered convenient for Korean members who are not versed in English.

Is it all right if Korean comments are accompanied by English translation?

For the benefit of moderator, here is a summary English translation of my above Korean comments.

The discussion is about a problem peculiar to Korean RC clubs and their website operation.

Their problem arises from the fact that their clubs/websites are operated as fraternal organizations while US rcgroups.com is run as a commercial site where owner/staff remain anonymous.

In Korean RC clubs/websites, the owner, staff and members commingle creating intimate relations among them. That is fine when everything goes smoothly, but when squabbles develope among club members or between memebers and staffs, it spills over to website and the website becomes a battle ground. Because of intimate relations with members, website staffs are incapable of mediating or applying sanctions for fear of favoring one faction against another, thus administration of website becomes paralized. One site was closed before it was reopen to new members with the splinter group forming their own club and website. We have never seen such a thing happening in US rcgroups.com.

My advice to them is to separate the website operation from fraternal club activities, making the website neutral and independent of club, members and management staff staying anonimous, and adopting US rcgroups.com as a model.

It is because of the unique Korean culture which considers "face" more important than rules.

I am not a moderator, but i believe you have the right to post in whatever language you want. I also believe the Moderator's have the right to restrict the language and ask you to only use one language. And i also believe anyone has the right to translate what you post in your language (even if the translation is not good).

This is a public forum, you may think you are "talking amongst yourselves" but it is public, so anyone can say anything here. I find the cultural differences between us interesting and i strive to learn more. If you really wish to talk in private with one or two members here you can Private message them.

Our site is geared twords english speaking members and has been for years. We've been consistant in upholding this and quite frankly the site though public is privately owned.

We can't moderate languages we don't speak so please post in English until Jim makes the final call.

You surmised correctly. Anonymity is the key. That is what I recommended to Korean RC sites. Moderators and members should remain anonymous on site. RC websites should be operated independently of fraternal clubs.

The trouble is Koreans like official titles and like to play politics. Whereever they go, they form groups and they develop into partisan squabbles. A bad national trait.

Korean RC website already split into two, dissenters forming their own club and website, in that small country. What a shame.

TAKE DOWN FRATERNITY SIGN

Members bring their grievances to websites hoping that members and management would help solve problems because it is a fraternity club.

If Korean sites are operated as a commercial site as US RCGROUPS.COM, no one would expect the site to help solve their personal problems and will never bring up such a problem on site in the first place.

If Korean sites as fraternity clubs have no interest in or incapable of solving problems for their members, they cannot be called fraternity clubs and they should take down their fraternity club sign boards.

The problems brought on site will only develop into factional infights if they are left unsolved.

Another draconian suggeston:

Let them fight it out on site and management stays out of involvement. Management intervention will only aggravate situation if they take side. Management should intervene only when Internet ethical rules are violated, by deleting only vulgar words. After a while, combatants will get tired and disappear.

If members are anonymous and they do not show faces, they will lose interests in arguments.

Looking back Kim v. Chang case, its handling by management is considered very much inadequate.
Management intervened too late after situation already became aggravated.
If it desired non-intervention, it should have so declared in the very beginning and deleted the thread. If its policy is to solve problems for members, members or management should have come up with a solution. They did not take either action and only enjoyed watching someone else's house on fire.

At the end, management expelled both parties without solving a problem and without due process. It was an irresponsible act.

This is one example of how difficult it is to manage the site as a fraternal club.

As I said, KRG and rcgroups.co.kr should be regarded as two separate entities and managed as such, the former as RC off site activity Groups and the latter as a website.

Website can be managed by 2 - 3 managers hired by the site owner.
These managers should remain anonymous and their function is to strictly enforce the site rules.

Present 10 member supervisory Executive Committee, elected by Club members, is to represent KRG (RC Activity Groups off site) only, divorced from the website operation.
Executive members can supervise off site activities in accordance with RC functions or geographic regions.

Club members and supervisors merely use the website to exchange information and discuss problems among themselves, but have nothing to do with management of the site itself.

In this way, the website will remain neutral and not get involved with club actitivities, by offering only website.

Your comments are invited.

각별하게 지내던 선후배 관계가 또한 클럽내에서 각 소그룹이 이상하게 전개가 되는 시점이기도 했습니다.
이러한 분열의 조짐을 회장님께서 총대를 매고 나선것이 결국엔 클럽내에서 연륜이 많으셨던 분들과 지방에 계셨던 분들께서
마음을 상하게한 원인이이었다고 생각하며 그러한 부분에 대해서 이제라도 제비우스비행클럽을 예전처럼 만들어가자는 취지에
다시금 이해를 구하고 싶어서 입니다.

일예로 지난 황금산 출격시 글라이더 날리러 온 몇사람은 예전과 확연히 달랐습니다.
예전에는 그렇지는 않았는데 말입니다.
선배를 보면 와서 인사를 하고 잘못한 것이 있으면 정중하게 사과를 하고
또한 선배가 잘못한게 있으면 와서 상의를 해서 풀어나가면 될것을 참 멀어도 한참 멀었단 생각을 했습니다.
좁다란 땅떵어리에서 그것도 얼마 안되는 슬롭플라이어들이 서로 안면까고 날려 대면 뭔 재미가 있겠습니까.
참으로 안타까운 심정뿐입니다.

지난 제비우스에서 있었던 일들은--- 여러분들 중에도
장기성 이승국 이정헌 최승욱 김진호 의 고스들을 너무나도 사랑했기에
내 아닌 일로 일어난 일로 생각 해주었으면 합니다.

지난 5월 황금산에서 같이 얻은 제비우스의 보베 이승국 과 곽용호
한사람은 잃고 말았습니다.
제비스를 잃은것보다 더 큰 나의 아픔입니다.
그리고 가입할때 공화국 수령의 불복종도 지키지 못하고--

활동하는 젊은 회원에게 늙은자로 누를 끼친것 같아 진심의 사과 동시에
자성 될때 까지 지켜만 보고 있겠습니다.
제삼 사과드고 용호군의 활동을 기대하겠습니다.

이곳에서 뵙게 되는군요.
다사다난했던 제비우스 에서의 일들이 한순간에 마무리 된듯하여 조금은 착찹하고 서운한 면도 없지 않으나
결국은 서로가 원하는것을 얻었다고 생각하고 있습니다.
각자는 각자의 생각을 예기하고 말뿐이지만 치고받고 했었던 일들은 그많큼 제비우스가 도약하기위한 몸부림이 아닌가 싶습니다.
그 방법이 어찌되었든 그 결과가 어떠하든
경쟁력 있는 신생 싸이트 하나가 탄생 한것으로도 양쪽 싸이트는 발전 할 것이며
또한 입문자에겐 공신력있는 정보의 비교/검토의 장이 될수도 있겠습니다.
(이 부분에 있어서는 좀더 신중하게 생각한 정보를 업로드 해야 한다는 생각 입니다)

모쪼록 건강 하시고 좋은글 그림 이곳에서도 기다리겠습니다.

Like you, I did not know how to use Korean keyboard when I joined Korean RC sites last year and I kept writing in English for a while. Thanks to joining Korean RC groups,
my writing and typing in Korean, the language I forgot to use for half a century, improved quite a lot.

last time I used korean keyboard was when i was dating few years ago(it was hunt and peck). my language skill improved a lot at that time. wife is mad today though. they cut off korean sbs channel on the dishnetwork. :) met my wife through the net. :D been happily married with two kids. (1.5 and 3) kids are being raised in totally bilingual environment. good for them.

KIRCclub 에서 현제 활동 하는 원로들을 보면 김승길 과 강택수는 나 와 같은 연배로 김승길씨는 F3c 한국 대표로 세계대회까지
출전 한적이 있다 했고 90년대에 내가 한국에 장기체류 하고 있을때 아래윗집 한동네에 살았고 난지도에서 주말마다 Heli를 같이
날리다가 그와 혜어질 무렵인 2000년에 들어서면서 ---
그가 날리는 독일에서 가저 왔다는 빨간 glider를 보고 나도 glider 에 손대기 시작했읍니다.

강택수씨는 JR송신기 한국 총판을 운영하고 잇었고 백관호 씨는 맞나본적은 없으나 김종복 사장말에 의하면
한국에서 최초로 DS를 시도 했다 했고,
김정완 씨도 F3a 한국대료로 세계대회에 출전 했고 2000 년 WCE San diego 에서 유선상과 같이 맞난적이 있고
현제 한국에서 큰 모형점을 운영하고 있다고 합니다.

그외에 사람은 잘 알수 없으나 -
이 종헌 씨는 주말마다 좋은 사진으로 비행일지 를 올린것을 빼지 않고 나는 보고 있고 제비우스에도 항공 역학적인 좋은 글을
올린것을 본적이 있읍니다.
KIRC는 우리 같은 나이 먹은자들에 알맞는 좋은 Site 이긴 하나 -

나 같은 경우엔 최소 100 mile 이상의 속도로 날라가야만이 비행기가 나르고 있구나 싶으니 병적인 현상이 아닌가 싶습니다.

KIRCclub Giant Scale Glider 에 관한 최근 활동을 보고하는 회원의 글은 없고, 이종헌 씨 (이 분은 KRG 에서 만났었는데) 가 외국 에서 퍼온 영상 만 올라 있어, site는 그리 활발한 것 같아 보이지 않네요.

한강상류에 novilty 하고 freshness KIRCclub 양수리에 맛이 나는것 같아 이데로가 내가 보기엔 너무나 좋은것 같습니다.

지난 주 일요일에 있었던 한국 중심 대구 삼인방과 대구무선모형그락부의 황금산 풍경입니다.

대구지방은 한국을 근대국가로 일어켜 세운 박정회 대통령의 친가 있는곳이고 하고 어떤 모형대회라도 치를수 있는 넓은 구미의 field
와 한국에서 유일하게도 DS 와 각종 slope event 를 열수있는 황금산을 가지고 있고 동쪽 근접에 포항 과 영천 구락부, 남쪽밑으로
부산 시걸서, 북방에 krg 와 xevious지방구락부 가 둘러 있고 그 복판에서 한국 전역 중심구락부로 성장할 백장좋은 사나이다운
경상도 싸나이에 뚝심 좋은 대구 삼인방에 신영석 과 한국 top sloper ds member 들이 집중된 지역으로서
앞으로 한국 Hotline 과 ds 및 slope 을 이끌 잠제력을 가지고 그 언제인가 한국 전역을 좌우 할것이라 예측하고 있읍니다.

특히 내가 사랑하는 대구 삼인방인 한국 Electric columnist 이 호인, 호남 김동훈 과 곽군이 있는 곳이기도 하고
금년 5월에는 대구 구락부와 구미구락부의 후원으로 알씨구락부에서 마지막으로 F5b & Pylon 대회를 가졌던 곳이기도 합니다.
