I posted this in the radios forum but didnt get an answer so I'm posting it here. I need to hear from people that uses this radio and know what it will do and if it will do what I need it to do. Any way I just came across a good deal on a Hitec Eclipse 7 from a bud of mine that has two of them. My main use for the radio will be for sailplanes. I fly RES ships and aileron ships. The biggest thing it would be used for is a 4 servo wing. will this radio work for what I want to use it for?. I've owned a couple of the hitec radios and never had any problems out of them but not the eclipse. Are they any known problems with this radio that I would need to know about?

I use an Eclipse 7 for DLG and it works fine. You can set up 4 servo wings really easily and the ability to program differant planes is great. You can download the manual on the HiTec web site and you will need it. The radio is not complicated but programming is not real intuitive. Good luck, Kevin 6Q

I have since moved on, but I use to use the E7 on all my sailplanes (both F3J & F5J), and works just fine. Some say you can't do full TE cambering. But I've come across a way in which you can. Search my past posts on "Full TE cambering". Should find the explanation there.

Thanks for the info guys... I just wanted to make sure it would work for what I was wanting it to before I bought it.

E7 is about the lowest cost radio that will handle a 4 servo wing. Spectra and shift select are nice features.
