FYI:V-Sync off I’m getting approx 350fps, With V-sync approx 80fps

My Spec: Dell Dimension 9100 Pentium D, 3GHz with 2GB of RAM, Win XP Pro SP2, ATI Radeon X800-XL with 0.5GB of RAM and Reflex 5.02.1

Same card ,cpu and fps here. except 4 gig of ram on my monster. NASTY good!

That's because using V-Sync times the update of the page to the refresh rate of your monitor (as I found out in a recent thread on this board) - just run it with V-sync off :)

Such boasting! Who could possibly tell the difference between 80 fps and 350 fps!

VSync is a feature provided by DirectX and the video card driver that safes energy and resources. As you physically can't see more than the syncrate of your monitor, it's a waste of energy and resources to calulate more. Watch the power demand, processor temperature and fan rpm with and without VSync.

Did you know that there is a free upgrade fro your RTX at the main RTX site
